Experts estimate that to restore the elderly Porsche professionally to its original glory would take up to $150,00-$200,000, but with rising world values for this Porsche model with its options believed to be north of $300,000, some 22 enthusiasts have so far posted bids from $80,000 upwards.
With this level of early interest in what many would regard as a ‘basket case’, Shannons believe that bidder competition could ultimately drive the Porsche’s selling price beyond $120,000 – more than the price of its closest 2021 new Porsche equivalent, a four-cylinder Cayman 718.
The 356 can be viewed in Shannons new Sydney Showroom at 22 Lambs Road, Artarmon, contact Damien Duigan (02) 8019 4180 or 449 128 392.
