Mercedes-AMG E 63 pricing

Australian pricing for Mercedes-AMG E 63 models announced

The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ and AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ models are set to be highly sought-after by performance-oriented buyers when the new AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ arrives in June 2017.

Dispatching the sprint from zero to 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds for the AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ and 3.5 seconds for the AMG E 63 4MATIC+, they will be among the most powerful production luxury saloons in the world, with the 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine pumping out 450kW and 850Nm (AMG E 63 S) or 420kW and 750Nm (AMG E 63).

Tobias Moers, the CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH says: “The new AMG E 63 represents the biggest step forward we’ve ever taken from one generation to the next.

“Vehicle dynamics were especially important to us. At the start of the development process, we opted for a fully variable all-wheel drive system which, when combined with the advanced performance of the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, reaffirms our brand’s ‘Driving Performance’ claim.”

The Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ takes peak performance to a new level with 450kW, an increase of 20kW over the outgoing model. Its 850 Nm (up by 50Nm) of torque is available across a broad range of 2500 to 4500 rpm.

The engine is also fitted with cylinder deactivation to reduce fuel consumption, while the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system fitted to both models for the first time locally incorporates fully variable torque distribution on the front and rear axles. This ensures optimum traction right up to the physical limit in all road conditions. An additional ‘Drift Mode” on the AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ can deliver the driving experience of an exclusively rear-wheel drive vehicle.

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT nine-speed sports transmission combines with a    wet start-off clutch for the first time, enabling more agile response times to be achieved. AMG sports suspension is based on the AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension system, in which the stiffness of a three-chamber air spring is adjustable via transmission modes that activate (or de-activate) individual air chambers.
