A hatch or “hatchback” is the largest option before you move up to a sedan. For a car to qualify as a hatchback, its boot lid and rear windscreen must be a single unit that moves together. Hatch typically feature a four-door configuration, excluding the rear door. However, two-door hatchbacks are also available.
Generally hatch are designed for comfortable seating of 4 passengers and small boot space for putting one or two bags. Hatchbacks are highly convenient for city driving as they are perfect in heavy traffic, easy to park and give great fuel economy.

The Toyota Corolla leads sales in the passenger car market yet again this year (no surprise there). With their sporty models, that reputation extends to grace and pace. The inevitable comparison to Peugeot’s venerable 205GTI could damage both name plates were it not [...]
You hear that? That’s the sound of my pulse racing. It’s an undeniable reaction when you jump into a Honda Civic Type R. I mean, who doesn’t get excited at the prospect of driving a hot hatch? This is the 10th generation of the iconic Honda hatch priced from [...]
With its strong lines, and a slightly odd name, Octavia provides a more spacious alternative to a hot hatch. The RS245 is the hottest of the Octavias and has the 180kw drive train of the Golf GTI, my favourite hot hatch. Despite being on sale here for several years, [...]
The Kia Stinger is epitome of what the South Korean brand is capable of producing right now. What an amazing car; full of power, style, comfort and luxury, it’s a complete package for a grand tourer sedan. I was already impressed by the smaller engine version of the Stinger [...]
