Jaguar Land Rover has renewed its commitment to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with the 2022/23 season confirmation.

Jaguar Racing’s motorsport, will help Jaguar Land Rover transform into an all-electric luxury brand from 2025 as models are renewed or released. Jaguar Land Rover’s Reimagine strategy is a commitment to achieve zero tailpipe emissions by 2036, and net-zero status across supply chain, operators, and products by 2039.

This commitment comes ahead of Jaguar Racing’s first UK race for 17 years.

Sex appeal is added by Sam Bird first driving in this first Formula E championship.

Jaguar’s all-electric I-TYPE race cars, won 4 races among its 12 podium positions, in  59 Formula E races. As with all brands, race technology forms a basis on which road-going cars are based. Jaguar Racing has had a successful collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering from the start, and takes this into the Gen3 era of Formula E.

FIA Formula E’s new Gen3 electric race car debuts in the 9th Season coming at the end of next year. Gen3 cars are lighter, more powerful and more efficient Gen3 which will take performance to even grater heights. The Gen3 Formula E car showcases the latest in fast-charging technology roo. To that end, the Gen3 car sees power go from 250kw to 350kW, and maximum regenerative braking from 250kW to a huge 600kW.
