Added to Forester’s suite of EyeSight features are:

  • Lane Centring Function
  • Lane Departure Prevention
  • Autonomous Emergency Steering

Front suspension has been given a bit of spit and polish, with the retuning promising better steering, ride, and handling. Also under the bonnet is a new aluminium engine mount to further reduce noice and vibration.

X-mode is for off-roading and is now able to re-engage once speed drops below 35kph, with Hill Descent getting revision for improve downhill performance.

For models with Driver Monitor, Gesture Control will now adjust the Climate Control Temperature. If it actually works, that could be a very useful feature.

The LED adaptive headlamps have been updated to an LED array, to better control high beam. We’ve seen this kind of array in other brands an it works well.

IN the cabin, 8” touch screens are standard across the range, and revised instruments have been put in to the Forester 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Sport and 2.5i-S. Forester 2.5i Sport gets new interior highlights of gunmetal and orange, Forester 2.5i-S also getting platinum door highlights.

Forester 2.5i-S and Hybrid S now have new alloys, with Forester 2.5i Sport getting a new circular fog light with 6 individual LED lights. Forester 2.5i Sport, 2.5i-S, Hybrid L and Hybrid S get new rear bumpers.

Forester 2.5i-S, Hybrid L and Hybrid S near silver roof rails, and Forester 2.5i Sport new black door mirrors.

Finally, New colours include: Autumn Green, Brilliant Bronze and Cascade Green, on models other than Forester 2.5i Sport.
