Cupra is a spin-off brand of the Spanish brand, SEAT and was once known as SEAT Performance.
CUPRA, the 4 year old offshoot of German carmaker Volkswagen, revealed three new electrified models to come to market by 2025.
CUPRA Australia revealed their “Born” battery electric vehicle is bound for Australia.
Cupra Formentor arrives in July with both performance and economy models including a 180kw sport-oriented hot-hatch, and a hybrid fuel miser.
The Leon goes on sale in July in four models: Leon V; Leon VZ; Leon VZe and VZx. Eventually, the CUPRA range will consist of: Leon, Ateca SUV, Born, and Formentor crossover.
Cupra comes to us from Barcelona. If you haven’t heard of it I’m not surprised. It started as a performance sub-brand of SEAT, a VW Group company. It was spun off as an identity of its own, and here we are a short time later with a stunning looking EV, the Cupra BORN
CUPRA Australia is readying for a 2022 launch with two SUVs and a hatchback. There will be performance and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains in the initial offerings.
