Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) is organising a VW Bus Festival from 15 to 17 July 2022.

It will be in the trade fair grounds in Hannover with a Bulli area and large camp site. It should attract thousands of VW Bullis of all ages, along adoring onlookers coming from all over the world. The VW van has been a cult icon for many decades, and is still as loved now as it was in the 60’s and 70’s. Some things just never go out of style.

The meet in 2007 was a huge success and 2017 and celebrated in forums world wide. The announcement of a second meet-up was met with huge joy. It all began on 15 July, a ‘mysterious’ post with a calendar entry for 2022 was published on the “Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Oldtimer” channel on Facebook. This message spread like wildfire throughout the VW Van fan pages and clubs around the world.

Carsten Intra, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Brand: “Our loyal VW Bulli fans have already been waiting a long time for a revival of the meet in 2007. Next year that wait will be over, and Hannover will again be a Bulli stronghold. Together with the community, we want to celebrate the Bulli and welcome the newest member of the family: the all-electric ID. BUZZ.”

There has been a buzz at the office of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles where arrangements have been made. They’ve reported that the Hannover trade fair site has been booked.

There will be more information this autumn – and everyone interested in attending will be able to reserve a pitch for their VW Bulli towards the end of this year, or early next year
