Lunaz Electrifies the Classic Car Market with Record Demand

There’s something undeniably glamorous about a classic British car, but let’s be honest: the idea of actually owning one—complete with its charming yet temperamental quirks—has long deterred even the most enthusiastic collectors. Enter Lunaz, the UK-based outfit that’s redefining classic motoring by blending timeless automotive beauty with cutting-edge electric powertrains. And if their latest sales figures are anything to go by, the world is taking notice.

Lunaz has just announced a staggering 150% increase in international orders, with demand pouring in from the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, France, Monaco, and India. Meanwhile, 35% of the company’s extensive order book will remain in the UK, ensuring that these electrified automotive icons stay true to their roots. It seems the world’s elite have caught on: a classic car can be beautiful and reliable—who knew?

Lunaz’s secret? An exhaustive, 5,500-hour bare-metal restoration process that allows customers to collaborate with the company’s in-house experts, crafting bespoke electrified versions of Aston Martins, Bentleys, Jaguars, Range Rovers, and Rolls-Royces. These aren’t just stunning vehicles; they’re masterpieces of engineering, featuring upgraded brakes, suspension, and a suite of modern tech.

And it’s not just about looks—these electrified classics are appreciating in value. Since May 2024, Lunaz has sold out its 2025 production run, with orders now stretching well into 2026. Customers are not only willing to invest in the transformation of rare classics but are also driving up transaction values by an average of 18%. The secondary market is just as bullish, with existing Lunaz creations fetching resale premiums of 22%—a rarity in the classic car world.

It’s no surprise, then, that some of the most prestigious custom builds have emerged from Lunaz’s Silverstone HQ. A 1958 Bentley Continental by James Young—one of only 13 left in existence—was transformed for a French client who wanted a reliable yet breathtaking way to introduce his family to the joys of classic motoring. Meanwhile, a 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud commissioned by a European luxury car collector now serves as the ultimate London night-out vehicle, complete with a bespoke humidor designed in collaboration with a Mayfair cigar merchant. Because why wouldn’t you want a magnetised, gold-inlaid ashtray in your vintage Rolls?

Even their Range Rover Classic models have been given the Lunaz treatment, with off-road-ready customisations designed for field sports and coastal estates. The result? A clientele that appreciates history but refuses to compromise on modern convenience—or, for that matter, a little bit of fabulous indulgence.

David Lorenz, Founder & CEO of Lunaz, summed it up best: “Lunaz was created to write the next chapters in the incredible stories of the most celebrated cars in British automotive history.” With electrification proving to be the gateway to a whole new generation of classic car lovers, it seems those stories are far from over.
