MINI Australia announces key specification updates for Cooper and Cooper S hatchback variants, applicable to both 3 door and 5 door variants and now available in dealerships.
Reflecting MINI’s reputation for delivering a premium hatch experience, these enhancements are focused on providing modern technological advancements with sharp pricing.
MINI Cooper (1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol, 100kW/220Nm, 4.9L/100km (5.0L/100km for 5 door), six-speed automatic transmission)
The MINI Cooper hatchbacks retain the same base price ($26,650* for 3 door, $27,750* for 5 door), but now come with halogen fog lights as standard.
A new Multimedia Essentials package is available for $1,500*, including:
- MINI Navigation
- Radio MINI Visual Boost
- Bluetooth mobile with USB audio streaming and front armrest
- Reversing camera with guidance lines
The Multimedia Essentials package can be combined with the popular Pepper package, which now includes 16-inch ‘Loop Spoke’ light-alloy wheels in silver, for a combined price of $3,500*.
Ordering the new Multimedia Essentials package also unlocks the Convenience package for $1,800*. This includes:
- Comfort Access and Alarm System
- Park Assist with front and rear Park Distance Control
- Interior and exterior mirrors with automatic anti-dazzle function
MINI Cooper S (2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol, 141kW/280Nm, 5.5L/100km, six-speed automatic transmission)
The MINI Cooper S hatchback variants ($37,750 for 3 door*, $38,850 for 5 door*) gain the following as standard specification:
- LED headlights for low and high beam
- LED daytime running lights
- LED front fog lights
- Reversing camera with guidance lines
An updated Convenience package is available from $1,800* in Cooper S variants and offers further specification, including:
- Comfort Access and Alarm System
- Park Assist with front and rear Park Distance Control
- Interior and exterior mirrors with automatic anti-dazzle function
Additionally a $1,500* Control package brings the following:
- Driver Assistant (Camera-based systems, including Video Active Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, City Crash Mitigation, High Beam Assist)

All new MINIs are covered by a three year/unlimited kilometre warranty, while service and selected maintenance costs can now be covered by a single, one-off advance payment with MINI Service Inclusive.
MINI Service Inclusive offers two packages, Basic and Plus. Basic provides scheduled servicing cover, while Plus combines scheduled servicing and selected maintenance items.
MINI Service Inclusive takes care of scheduled servicing costs for five years or 80,000km, whichever comes first. MINI Service Inclusive plan provides a long term solution enabling cover to be extended and transferred to future vehicle owners before expiry.
