Nissan’s Warrior Program by Premcar Marks Five Years of Aussie-Made Off-Road Legends
Nissan Australia’s Warrior by Premcar program has officially clocked over five years young, and like a drag queen with a fresh set of lashes, it’s looking stronger than ever. Launched in late 2019 with the Navara N-Trek Warrior, this proudly Aussie-built lineup—including the Navara SL Warrior, Navara PRO-4X Warrior, and the brawny Patrol Warrior—has become the blueprint for vehicles tailored perfectly to Australia’s rough-as-guts conditions.
Over 12,755 Warrior vehicles have been reimagined by Premcar’s team of engineering wizards at their Epping, Victoria facility, each one loaded with serious upgrades for true-blue off-roaders. We’re talking 63,775 wheels and tyres, 51,020 springs and shock absorbers, and 12,755 bash plates bolted on with Aussie pride. That’s enough hardware to make even Mad Max blush.
And this isn’t just about tough trucks and bigger boots. The Warrior program has fueled a renaissance in Australian vehicle manufacturing, doubling Premcar’s production footprint to a whopping 13,000 square metres across two sites, and growing its team to over 200 staff from 15 cultural backgrounds. Now that’s diversity worth popping a glitter cannon for!

Even better, about 80% of the parts fitted to Warrior vehicles are sourced locally, keeping Aussie suppliers in business and the economy ticking over nicely.
Premcar CEO, Bernie Quinn, summed it up best: “We owe so much of our success to Nissan, and to the customers who value true local expertise when tailoring vehicles to Australia’s unique conditions.”
The secret sauce? Every Warrior by Premcar vehicle is tested right here on home turf, tackling savage landscapes like Mount Disappointment, Big Desert, Arkaroola, and the Lake Eyre surrounds. It’s a brutal boot camp that ensures your Navara Warrior or Patrol Warrior can take whatever Australia (or your next big gay road trip) can throw at it.
With remanufacturing quality matching Nissan’s factory warranty and a process refined through decades of engineering excellence, the Warrior program has become a symbol of Aussie resilience and innovation.
Here’s to five fabulous years of the Warrior by Premcar program—and many more dusty tracks and muddy adventures to come.
🏳️🌈 Because if you’re going to go off-road, you might as well do it in style.
