BMW will celebrate the return of the Goodwood’s Festival of Speed in 2021 by revelling the all new BMW 2 Series Coupé on 8 July. Also on the 1.16-mile course will be the fastest and most powerful BMW M production car ever, the new BMW M5 CS. Not content with that, BMW premier the All-electric BMW iX and BMW i4.
The all-new BMW 2 Series Coupé celebrates the iconic BMW 2002 without being a slave to it. The compact coupe is a 100% driver’s car and has an optional 6-cylinder engine with rear-wheel drive. The unveiled at ‘BMW M Town’ at will be at 09:00 followed by a public viewing on the hill for the first time in the ‘First Glance’ category from 09:40.
Apart from the 2 Series, the new BMW M5 CS turns M-car heat up a notch, with a 635hp 4.4-litre V8 engine giving the M5 a 0-62 mph of 3.0 seconds. It powers on to an electronically limited top speed of 189mph.

ABOVE: Goodwood’s Festival of Speed in 2021 featuring BMW Electric and M models
BMW themed its stand as an ‘Electric Boulevard’ to feature the new BMW iX for the first time. iX is BMW’s flagship electric model that launches in November 2021. It promises locally emission-free driving pleasure, good operating range and a luxurious driving experience. It is the BMW to have the new generation BMW iDrive, with Operating System 8.
The BMW i4 is another brand-new electric model. The gran coupé design has a range of up to 367 miles (WLTP). It is due for launch in the UK in November 2021, and is the first all-electric premium BMW to enter their “Darling” segment, midsize sector.
Surely the star attraction will be the BMW M4 Competition x KITH. There will be 150 units worldwide created with input from New York lifestyle brand KITH.
Visitors to the stand will also showcase the BMW M 1000 RR. This is the first M model from BMW Motorrad with roots in professional racing. We will also see a BMW R 18, including the Spirit of Passion by Kingston Custom and custom bikes from Bernhard Naumann and the Custom Works ZON team from Japan.
Visitors will enjoy racing virtually, under hyper-realistic conditions, with a sim racing simulator.
