LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) released some artist’s impressions of their new all-electric e-Camper.  It is the world’s first electric campervan, e-Camper that promises both zero-emission capability and zero range anxiety. Range anxiety is probably the biggest barrier to EV uptake, especially in the leisure market..

For those of us who like to get away, and take our house with us, e-Camper offers self-contained holidays. The Covid pandemic means international travel has been obliterated so many have kept local, and are searching for more sustainable travel. LEVC sees market opportunities both in the UK and across Europe.

LECV has partnersed with Wellhouse Leisure* to create the first of the e-Campersat a list price (excl VAT) of £62,250 / €73,000. Deliveries are currently expected in Q4 2021. Buyers can register their interest at levc.com/ecamper

e-Camper is based on the VN5, LEVC’s new electric van. It has a pure EV range of 60 miles** (98 km) with a total “range extender” range of 304 miles (489 km)

This means the buyer can drive in EV mode provided they can keep charged up. If a longer trip is on the cards, the small engine will charge the battery while on the god.

LEVC e-Camper sleeps four, has an integrated electric kitchenette, pop-up roof (incorporating sleeping for two) and a central folding table. As well as the 2 beds in the pop-up, the second-row bench seat folds down for a 2nd double bed.

Parking is easy, with a very tight turning circle. Once parked at a campsite, travelers can swivel the first-row seats to face the rear, and slide the second row back.  This creates a space to deploy the table for dining. The pop-up roof creates an area where even the tallest people can stand.  Access to the “dining” area is via a single large sliding door.

OPtional bespoke bike racks are available for the very-active owners who want to take extra local transport options on board.

LEVC’s TX electric taxi has inspired a bunch of colour and styling options for the e-Capmer. These include a wide colour palette, coloured bumpers, and distinctive alloy wheels.
