HSV fans would have been devastated at the folding of Holden and the subsequent closing of the HSV business, but fer not, GM is still here in small numbers. GMSV brings in the latest Chevy Corvette and Silverado.
To celebrate Bathurst, the folk at GMSV been able to leave their Head Office in Port Melbourne bound for the famous Australian race. GMSV is leaving Victoria with a full model portfolio following the strip-mined year of 2020-21 by Covid-19.
“It’s fantastic to finally be able to showcase our entire range to Corvette and Silverado fans,” said Joanne Stogiannis, Director of GMSV Australia and New Zealand.
“We couldn’t think of a better opportunity to take the show on the road for our first-ever trip to Bathurst and this great race.”

GSMV’s 1st trip to Bathurst will bring with it, a whole lot of firsts for muscle car lovers, be they coupe, or truck fans.
“This trip doubles as the public debut of the new Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty LTZ Premium and is the first occasion all three right-hand-drive C8 Corvettes in Australia, a Torch Red 3LT Convertible and two 3LT Coupe – one in Rapid Blue and the other Hypersonic Grey – will be out and about at a major event together,” said Ms Stogiannis.
GMSV at Bathurst, a special public viewing of the new right-hand-drive C8 has been arranged at the National Motor Racing Museum for the week of racing.*
GMSV’s trackside stand has a Silverado LTZ Premium, LT Trail Boss and the biggest Chevrolet available for sale in Australia and New Zealand – the Heavy Duty LTZ Premium.
One of the Silverado’s will be set up to demonstrate its ‘invisible trailer’ view. Other brands on the market have a similar feature to make the bonnet vanish, or indeed the entire car disappear. In this cars, Silverado makes the trailer invisible to give the driver a clear view behind.
GMSV models will be seen in on-track events and special guest appearances elsewhere around Bathurst.
“We’ve been waiting for 12-months to introduce our new models to GMSV fans, and Bathurst is the perfect opportunity to do so,” said Ms Stogiannis.
“We’re hugely excited to be part of the action and look forward to finally being able to connect enthusiasts with a selection of the very finest models from the GM portfolio.”
