Lamborghini Esperienza Giro Toscana: Castles, Chianti, a Dash of Camp

Tuscany turned up the charm — and the revs — for Esperienza Giro Toscana 2025, Lamborghini’s annual road trip for those who prefer their landscapes with a side of horsepower and their espresso served beside a V12.

Each year, Lamborghini’s Esperienza program takes owners on a journey that’s part grand tour, part cultural immersion, and entirely Italian theatre. Forget racetracks and test loops — this was all winding roads, ancient castles, and the kind of dinners that run long into the night with too much wine and just enough gossip.

This year’s adventure began at the five-star Castel Monastero near Siena, where guests arrived in a riot of colour — lime-green Huracáns, orange Urus SUVs, and a couple of hybrids proving that sustainability doesn’t have to look dull. An aperitif in the village square set the mood, followed by a medieval-themed dinner complete with storytellers, market stalls, and more velvet than a Mardi Gras float.

The following morning, engines barked to life under a Tuscan sun, the convoy snaking its way to Castello di Meleto in the Chianti region. There was coffee, theatre, and a healthy dose of history before lunch at Tenuta Tolaini, where pasta was cooked at the table and wine bottles were emptied with alarming efficiency. Dinner that evening? Michelin-starred, naturally — Poggio Rosso providing the perfect excuse for sequinned shoes and unbuttoned shirts.

Day three took the group to Montepulciano, the spiritual home of its namesake wine, for an espresso stop that quickly became an impromptu photoshoot. From there, it was off through the rolling hills to Tenuta Col d’Orcia for a barbecue lunch before heading to Castello di Brolio — an estate that’s been in the same family for nearly 800 years. There, surrounded by candlelight and Chianti, dinner felt less like a corporate event and more like a queer-friendly Renaissance banquet.

Over 500 kilometres later, the tour wrapped with a final lunch at Monticchiello, a 15th-century village seemingly built for postcards. There were hugs, handshakes, and a few teary farewells before the Lamborghinis headed off into the distance — loud, unapologetic, and perfectly Italian.

Esperienza Giro Toscana wasn’t just about cars. It was about friendship, food, and the shared joy of moving through a landscape that feels like it was painted just for you. A little bit indulgent, a little bit theatrical — and absolutely fabulous.
