Giulia and Stelvio are among the best driving cars for the price, and are favourites at GayCarBoys. The new Giulia and Stelvio reach dealers early in 2023.
Here are some of the highlights:
A revamped “look”
The “Trilobo” grille is had subtle changes to set off the new “3+3” head lights with Full-LED Adaptive Matrix function. Introduced with Tonale, they recall features from the Alfa Romeo SZ Zagato and the Alfa Romeo Proteo concept cars.
The three modules include sweeping indicator and the “Adaptive Front Lighting System”. The system appears to bend light by changing the shape of the lights for a “Glare-Free High Beam Segmented Technology”, to avoid blinding the other cars. Along with this handy feature, “Welcome and Goodbye” turns on every time the driver closes or opens the car.
Rear LED tail lights got a similar makeover, with Stelvio’s transparent finish, and Giulia’s smoked glass with a glossy black finish.

ABOVE: 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvo and Giulia Updates
A new, digital instrument panel
Giulia and Stelvio have kept the “telescopic” design, but now have a 12.3” TFT screen. It manages to evoke a feeling of history while making a proper nod towards modern facility
“Alfa Connect Servicesinclude “Over the Air” updates, a “My Remote” function as well as NFT (Non-Fungible-Token) based on a “blockchain card”, an encrypted and non-modifiable digital register of the car’s details. The NFT certificate provides a digit form of what the “full books” used to disclose. This is especially valuable at sale time, and gives future buyers peace of mind.
The driving dynamics
Alfa Romeo’s new Giulia and Stelvio are best-in-class in their segments. It plays on Alfa history while using cutting edge technology to give the driver and passengers the best experience possible
All-wheel drive with Q4 technology: The Q4 all-wheel drive uses an Active Transfer Case (ATC) to monitor grip and driver.
Alfa Romeo’s Q4 operates as rear wheel drive and, unless traction is required, or selected by the driver. When called on, 50% of the engine torque goes to the front in under 150ms for maximum grip.
A new trim lineup
Giulia and Stelvio no use the same nomenclatures as Tonale, Super and Ti. Super is the entry model with Ti adding a little extra elegance which can be optioned with the Veloce pack. These terms are reminiscent of the historic Super, Sprint, Ti, and Veloce Alfa Romeo’s celebrated past. Giulia and Stelvio comes as a rear-wheel drive 160 CV diesel, or as all-wheel drive 280 HP petrol and 210 HP diesel models.
The Competizione special series
Alfa Romeo is introducing the Competizione special series to both models, based on the Veloce trim and available with every engine. The launch edition is the top model in Moon Light gray matt color and red brake calipers. Stelvio comes with 21” alloy wheels. Interiors have Harman/Kardon sound, and a leather-upholstered dashboard and seats with red stitching. There is privacy glass and the Competizione badge on the sides and front headrests. Competizione has Active Suspension and the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) technology.
