Sant’Agata Bolognese has a new sheriff in town, darlings, and his name is Andrea Reggiani.
Lamborghini has announced that the experienced Italian-Swiss engineer will take the reins as Head of Motorsport for Squadra Corse, reporting directly to Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr. His timing couldn’t be better — the Temerario GT3 is making its international debut at the Sebring 12 Hours this very weekend.
For those keeping score at home, Reggiani (no relation to former CTO Maurizio Reggiani, before you ask) will oversee pretty much everything with a raging bull on it that goes racing. That means the global Super Trofeo platform across Europe, Asia and North America, the GT3 customer racing programme, and even the track-only Essenza SCV12 programme for people who think a regular Lambo is just too pedestrian.

Who Is This Man?
Reggiani has held senior positions with some of motorsport’s leading brands over the years, contributing to both commercial and strategic success. Lamborghini is being coy about exactly where he’s been — press releases can be wonderfully vague when they want to be — but the point is he knows his way around a paddock.
CEO Stephan Winkelmann gave him the full Italian welcome: “I would like to wish Andrea Reggiani every success in his new role. I am confident that his commitment will bring added value to Lamborghini’s motorsports activities, which for our brand remains an important laboratory for the development of new technologies.”
Translation: motorsport is where we test things before putting them in road cars, and we need someone competent running the show.
The Supporting Cast
Also confirmed are the regional coordinators who’ll keep the continental Super Trofeo championships ticking along: Erik Skirmants for North America, Federica Teneggi for Europe, and Francesco Scardoni for Asia-Pacific. Stability at the middle management level, which in racing terms means fewer opportunities for everything to go completely sideways between seasons.
What’s Coming
The timing of Reggiani’s appointment is no accident. The Temerario GT3 makes its competitive debut at Sebring this weekend, and the Temerario Super Trofeo is in development for next year — three single-make championships across Europe, Asia, and North America.
That’s a lot of angry Italian machinery to manage, my darlings. One rather suspects Reggiani won’t be getting much sleep between now and whenever they finally run out of places to race these things.
