Kia’s EV4 and PV5 Finally Nab the UK Govt Grant—About Time!
The UK government is finally handing over some cash. Kia has confirmed that the EV4 and the PV5 Passenger are the first of their fleet to qualify for the Electric Car Grant. We’re talking a clean £1,500 off the purchase price. No fluff, just a smaller bill at the end.
If you’re looking at the EV4 ‘Air’ or the PV5 ‘Essential’ and ‘Plus’ grades, you’re in luck. Every battery option for these models qualifies. It brings the entry price for the streamlined EV4 hatchback down to £33,245, while the PV5 Passenger starts at just £31,495.

The EV4 is the standout for range, with the 81.4kWh ‘Air’ model capable of a massive 388 miles on a single charge—the longest legs of any Kia EV to date. Meanwhile, the PV5 is the practical choice for hauling more than just a gym bag, built on the solid E-GMP.S platform with a low step-in height and a massive interior.
Kia is also sweetening the pot with their latest quarterly offers. The EV4 ‘Air’ gets an extra £1,000 Finance Deposit Contribution (FDC) on top of the grant, while the GT-Line versions are seeing up to £3,000 off. It’s a punchy, no-nonsense deal for anyone ready to ditch the pump and go zero-emission.
