McLaren’s 765LT ‘Longtail’ coupe came last year, and promptly sold out. They can expect 765LT Spider to do the same. If only all car makers could match that record.
The lightweight coupe/spyder club is an exclusive one, and only 765 765LT Spiders will be made. It seems McLaren has a sense of humour.
The droptop opens in 11 seconds, but the real surprise is the weight of 1388kg. The weight is kept down by extensive use of carbon-fibre parts. The retractable top is a single piece of carbon fibre, and will open up to 50kph.
