Mazda has given its rugged BT-50 a serious glow-up for 2025, bringing a host of updates that blend style, strength, and technology to meet the demands of Aussie ute lovers. Since its 2020 reinvention, the BT-50 has been a solid player in the market, and this latest refresh aims to take it up another notch.

Classily Rugged

The BT-50’s chiselled new face showcases a redesigned front bumper, a bold new grille, and striking LED headlamps. Mazda’s signature ‘Kodo – soul of motion’ design philosophy is in full force, adding a touch of sophistication to its tough-as-nails persona. Around the back, the tailgate now features a mountain-inspired ridged design, and the fresh LED tail lamps sit beneath an oversized Mazda badge – just in case anyone forgets who built this beast.

Techy Cabin

Inside, the BT-50 steps up with an upgraded infotainment system and a new customisable Multi-Information Display (MID) that stretches up to seven inches. This seamless integration ensures all critical driving data is right where you need it, while a suite of modern tech keeps drivers and passengers connected.

Power & Capability

Under the hood, the majority of the BT-50 range is powered by a proven 3.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder, punching out a healthy 140kW and 450Nm of torque – perfect for towing, off-roading, and everyday workhorse duties. Entry-level models get a 1.9-litre diesel delivering 110kW and 350Nm, with all engines paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Whether you need a single-cab work ute or a plush dual-cab for weekend adventures, Mazda has you covered with XS, XT, XTR, GT, and SP trim levels.
