Mercedes-Benz has spiced up the already stylish C 200 sedan with a new limited-edition trim that adds just the right amount of visual drama without veering into full-blown AMG territory. Enter the 2025 Mercedes-Benz C 200 Sport Edition – a sharper, darker, and decidedly more daring take on the classic compact luxury saloon.
While the base C 200 is no slouch, the Sport Edition arrives dressed to impress. Most obvious are the 19-inch AMG multi-spoke alloys in bi-colour black with a high-sheen finish, giving the car a menacing edge usually reserved for its brawnier siblings. A subtle AMG rear spoiler lip (a first for a non-AMG in this generation), dark-tinted privacy glass, and the Night Package – think high-gloss black highlights across the mirrors, window surrounds, and bumpers – add the kind of visual muscle that turns heads at the valet stand.
Under the bonnet, it’s familiar territory: a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system delivers 150kW and 300Nm, paired with the slick 9-speed 9G-TRONIC auto. It’ll do 0-100km/h in a brisk 7.3 seconds, which is more than enough to get noticed at the lights, without terrifying your dinner date.

Inside, it’s business class all the way. The ARTICO (faux leather) upholstery comes in sultry black, but you can opt for Neva grey or Sienna brown if you’re feeling avant-garde. Metal-structure trim adds a splash of tech-chic across the dash and centre console. The 11.9-inch MBUX screen and 12.3-inch digital cluster are standard, as are heated and electrically adjustable sports seats with memory, dual-zone climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
Safety and driver aids are plentiful – Active Lane Keeping Assist, 360-degree camera, Traffic Sign Assist, and more – ensuring your bougie drive is as safe as it is smooth.
With an MRLP of $88,400, or a nationwide driveaway price of $92,500 until 30 June, the Sport Edition doesn’t come cheap, but darling, style never does.
Limited numbers mean this one’s for those who like their luxury with a little edge – and just enough AMG flair to make the neighbours twitch their curtains.
