Sydney, 22 January – Last weekend saw an incredible sight and a new New Zealand record being set with a lineup of 140 Ferrari’s on the grid at Hampton’s Down MotorSport Park in New Zealand in celebration of the New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing. This festival is run over two consecutive weekends in January and every year the event honours a different marque this year being Ferrari.

The lineup included Ferrari models both past and present including: Enzo, F40, F50, Scuderia Ferrari 8C Monza, 430 Scuderia’s and F1 cars just to name a few. The crowd was dazzled by the cavalcade of Ferrari’s on the track. The Ferrari Club of New Zealand committed to getting as many Ferrari’s and Ferrari owners to the event which was successfully achieved to set this new record in New Zealand.

“Ferrari has a long and rich history in New Zealand and last weekend illustrated the popularity and spirit of the Prancing horse marque in NZ.

The Ferrari Owners Club, along with the event organiser have created a New Zealand record with 140 Ferrari’s on track at the same time.” Says Ferrari Australasia CEO Herbert Appleroth.

The event is organised by the Historic Racing Club and run at HDMP (a 2.7 km circuit approximately 60km south of Auckland and 65 kilometres north of Hamilton). The festival will see thousands of fans come to see the Ferrari spectacle over the two weekends and promises to delight them with the number of special Ferrari’s on show.
