Beckham Gets a Taste of AFL at Carlton

Carlton FC player and Hyundai Ambassador Marc Murphy met with LA Galaxy’s David Beckham at Visy Park in Melbourne this afternoon, prior to the LA Galaxy training session at the ground.
The meeting, arranged in conjunction with Hyundai Motor Company Australia and Carlton FC, included an exchange of guernseys between the two football stars.
Murphy presented Beckham with a number 23 Carlton guernsey with the name ‘Beckham’ printed above the number on the back. In return, Beckham presented Murphy with a team signed L.A. Galaxy shirt.
L.A. Galaxy trained on Visy Park for 90-minutes in preparation for the Hyundai Club Challenge Melbourne match against Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium tomorrow night. A large crowd viewed the L.A. Galaxy training session with Beckham receiving the biggest cheers from the fans, along with fellow stars Keane and Donovan.
