As a direct result of a successful partnership established in 2019, Monterey Touring Vehicles has reconfirmed its sponsorship with WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca by committing to a multiyear extension through 2023.
In a reversal of philosophy, the California Highway Patrol will reward the fastest driver who qualifies in the Hyundai Monterey Sports Car Championship. The CHP Pole Award will be presented at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Sunday, Nov. 1 to the driver who secures the pole position in the powerful Daytona Prototype International (Dpi) class, which is the top-tier racing class featured in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
