      I love those old cars and I used to have a classic Mercedes the same year as the 600. Let me tell you living with them as your only car is quite different from the romantic vision we all have. Can you imagine trying to park any of those huge cars? What a nightmare.

        I had a little yellow Volkswagen convertible when I got mt first job after college in 1970. One day my boss, the owner of the publishing house, hit my car in the parking lot. He gave me one of his huge Lincoln Continentals to drive while my car was in the shop. It was impossible to drive. Sloppy steering, all over the road. And impossible to park. At least those old cars you were talking about we’re a pleasure to drive. Loved your post.
