Kia’s Cerato is about to launch in Australia and will be the first newly branded Kia. The Rio has been Kia’s top model in Australia for 20 years, selling 153,411 units from 2000, to April 2021. While Rio remains a strong seller, Cerato, launched in 2003, reached 153,918 to end of April, Overtaking Rio.
Kia Corporation recorded total global sales of 249,734 units in April 2021, a 78 percent increase compared to the same month last year.
The Kia Rio 5-Door has earned a 2021 Vincentric Best Value in America Award, ranking number one in the Subcompact Hatchback segment.
KIA RIO was launched in 2017, and got a quick update in late 2018. Some the Sport model replaced the old mid range offerings, and an updated equipment list was offered.
