Top 20 LGBTI Gay Lesbian Cars for 2023 – 24

The 2023 – 24 year has thrown up a few surprise results. For the first time our top 20 LGBTI cars show buyers are moving towards hybrid and electric cars. We clever little gay buyers are ahead of the pack. Readers tell us they love the best and latest gear, and that excites the retailers eager to nab the stray shekels.

Polestar was much praised, Nissan’s Z hangs on in the same place, and the plucky little Ora pokes its head over the parapet. Kia’s EV9 provides a ton of space for fun, whatever that means to you.

For the last 10 years, Jeep wrangler and Gladiator is a much-loved gay icon. Don’t blame us! It is you mob who keep reading about it.

Is Jeep Gladiator a backroom bar on wheels?

19: Niro comes as a hybrid or EV, as an S or a GT-Line, but unlike the hapless emperor of the same name, does not fiddle while you burn. Clever old Kia packaged the pluck out of this bijou box. The 75 grand GT-Line EV costs as much as a Tesla Model Y, making even the hardest core of the Kia crowd consider a travelling in a Tesla.

18: 2022 Tesla Mode Y Review- The good and the Bad

Tesla had a couple of issues with production, and covid and semiconductors, much like most other car makers, so Model Y, first delayed, then came in a couple of big bursts.

While this looked great on the balance sheets, it gave onlookers a slightly distorted view of the top 10 sales models.

You’ve seen our Model 3 reviews, so Model Y is just that, the same car with a taller roof. Is that a good thing? We’re not sure.

17: Nissan Z

Driving the new 2023 Nissan Z for the first time is a revelation.

It feels properly old-school, with the nannies keeping a respectful distance. The back-end gets tail-happy in either the manual or automatic, so give her some respect or suffer the consequences. Nisan has built a better Supra, an analogue car in a digital world, and I love it.

Launch Control is always on.

16: Jaguar F-Type final drive

The Jaguar has it all. What a greedy little hottie the F-type 75 is. It has movie star looks and the power of a small sun. It evokes memories of Sir William Lyons’ famous saying; Jaguars should have “space, grace, and pace.”

15 Audi Q5 Sportback 55 TFSI e Quattro S LINE PHEV Hybrid

For convenience let’s just call this the Q5 Sportback PHEV otherwise I’ll go quite mad. The mid-size SUV has been popular since it went on sale, and the German carmaker continues to expand its crossover fleet even further.

Kia’s EV9 is big and bold. Sexy or not, you think it is worth a look. Imagine the fun you can have in the back!

Volvo’s EX 30 is a sexy little beast. It is fast, and electric. All the things a Gen Z could possibly want, at those Gen Zers with a licence!

We love a Swedish car and Volvo did not disappoint.

Accord carries Civic handsome visage tastefully tweaked for a bigger bosom, and with similar lines defining sedan-like proportions within a fastback silhouette. Despite the coupé sense of style, Accord is a 4-door gentleman’s tourer. A tourer needs a large boot for sir’s matching luggage, and Accord’s 570L boot’s regular shape will do its best to accommodate the poshest of cases.

11: 2024 Polestar 2 Dual Motor Performance

TThe 2024 Polestar 2 Dual Motor Performance Pack isn’t just an electric vehicle—it’s a runway model on wheels. With clean lines, a minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic, and an elegant stance, this car turns heads faster than a drag queen’s wig reveal.

10: 2024 GWM Tank 500 Ultra

You could be forgiven for thinking this big Tank 500 is merely a pastiche of a Land Cruiser/Land Cruiser Prado based on looks alone, but a decent drive shows it is not all fur coat and no knickers. It has one thing the others don’t: it is a hybrid, and a good one at that.

9: 2023 Kia Seltos S 2WD

Seltos is a little sweety-pie, but I dislike CVT automatics with the grit of cat-on-mouse

8: Toyota GR 86 GTS

Like BRZ, GR 86 looks like the designer sat down the a little model of the old car, and draw the new one on a coaster at the pub. That’s not a bad thing, because the GR 86 was fabulous to begin with. It was a favourite, especially among the single gays looking for a willing wingman.

7: 2023 Honda Civic Type R

the Type R active adjustable damping. Swings and roundabouts, as my maiden great aunty Ag used to say.

I voted for the Type R’s fabulous red suede seats,  and restrained yet classy interior.

6: 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Atmos

Depending on your point of view, Corolla Cross is either a brilliant stroke of marketing genius, or a cynical move to fill a gap, answering a question no one was asking.

5: 2022 Toyota GR Yaris Rallye

We aren’t the only ones to think GR Yaris Rallye is a ripe little peach. A quick look on the local 2nd hand car selling sites sees 2021 GR Yaris Rallye models going for the current 2023 selling price, and in many case, over $10,000 more. That’s just plain bonkers.

4:  2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale Veloce

Tonale is the new, petite SUV that picks up where the awful Mito left off. Whereas the entry level Mito felt bereft of any comfort and luxury, Tonale feels solid and cosy.

3LEXUS LC 500 Convertible Review: Sexy, Brutal, and Thirsty

LC 500 Convertible is a big, lusty, car that is sold as a 2+2, but is really a 2-seater, as seen in our video. LC 500 uses a gorgeous 5.0L all-alloy V8 that needs no turbo to get 351kw and 540Nm power figures. Its world-first 10-speed automatic is a stunner, with shifts that are imperceptible much of the time.

2: 2024 Abarth 500e Review

Abarth 500e has a load of sex appeal. We drove the equally charismatic Fiat 500e last year, and loved it. The cheeky little Italian lives up to an expectation of being fun yet functional, but the Abarth version is expected to fan that ember into a warming fire.

1: 2023 Kia EV6 GT Review: The Lad’s Weekend Away

In Charlie’s previous EV6 GT story, we talked about what solid state batteries will do to transform EV uptake, but this time we’ll tell you about our thrifty trip for a spot of weekend cottaging. Charlie, Max, Luke, and I, headed for the compound. We rotated between the Kia and Luke’s Dad’s MKII Jaguar, a real example of chalk and cheese.
