Toyota’s GR division has been hitting the gym, and the 2025 lineup has come out looking leaner, meaner, and with more stuff. The GR86, GR Yaris, and GR Corolla have all had a tickle under the bonnet, with touch-ed handling, more power (where it counts), and fresh tech to keep the purists and daily drivers happy. Oh, and let’s not forget the two new limited editions—the GR86 Limited Edition and the GR Supra Track Edition—just in case you wanted something even more exclusive.

GR86: Still Affordable, Now More Track-Ready.

The GR86 has copped a few key tweaks to make it even sharper, especially for those who like their Sunday drive with a side of apex hunting. Toyota’s fiddled with the dampers, steering, and throttle response, making the rear-wheel-drive coupe even more engaging. The auto box now lets you downshift at a higher RPM for better engine braking—finally, some love for the slushbox crowd.

For those wanting a bit more razzle-dazzle, the GR86 Limited Edition (only 86 units as befits the moniker) lands with a stunning Forest Shadow green paint job, bronze 18-inch alloys, and red brake callipers. It also comes with Sachs shocks and Brembo brakes as standard, meaning it’s not just a pretty face. Pricing? $49,600 plus on-roads.

GR Yaris: More Power, More Gears, More Fun

The already bonkers GR Yaris has a little extra si 221kW and 400Nm. That’s an extra 21kW and 30Nm over the outgoing model, which means more rally-inspired lunacy for the streets. Toyota’s also thrown in a new eight-speed automatic option for those who want to shift less and hoon more.

Inside, the GR Yaris gets a revised cabin with a lower driver’s seat (great for helmet clearance), a more driver-focused dash, and an 8-inch multimedia screen with wireless CarPlay. The GT kicks off at $55,490, while the flagship GTS—packing BBS wheels, Pilot Sport 4S tyres, and trick suspension—tops out at $62,990.

GR Corolla: Even Hotter Hatch

Much like its little brother, the GR Corolla gets a torque bump, now matching the GR Yaris’ 400Nm. The new eight-speed auto joins the lineup alongside the six-speed manual, giving buyers more choice in how they unleash this AWD beast. Pricing starts at $67,990 for the manual and $70,490 for the automatic.

GR Supra Track Edition: For When the Regular Supra Just Isn’t Enough

The big dog of Toyota’s performance stable isn’t sitting idle either. While the standard GR Supra soldiers on unchanged, the upcoming Track Edition (landing mid-2025) promises to dial up the excitement a notch. Details are still under wraps, but expect mechanical and styling tweaks to make it even more capable on the circuit.

Toyota’s GR lineup has always been about delivering proper driving thrills, and this 2025 refresh proves they’re not backing down anytime soon. Whether you’re into rear-wheel-drive antics, all-wheel-drive grip, or just looking to turn heads, there’s something in this lineup for you.
