The 2025 Ford Everest Tremor is Ford’s most rugged Everest yet, and she’s wearing her trail boots with pride. With 26mm of extra ground clearance, tough suspension, all-terrain tyres, and Crawl Mode that laughs in the face of loose rock, this is the SUV for anyone who thinks adventure should come with cupholders and CarPlay.

We’ve had a cheeky first taste, and yes—we love it. It’s not just a pretty face with a bash plate. A full review and video drive are coming soon, but here’s the tea so far.

The Diesel That Delivers

Under the bonnet is the excellent 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6, putting out 184kW and 600Nm through a 10-speed auto and full-time AWD. It’s smooth, muscular, and has grunt in all the right places. Whether towing, overtaking, or scrambling over rocky climbs, it makes the job look easy.

Ford’s clever drive modes return, but the Tremor-exclusive Rock Crawl Mode takes things up a notch. It fine-tunes the traction control, throttle, and gearbox for low-speed precision on rocky or loose terrain. And it works—brilliantly.

The Tremor also retains the Everest’s 3,500kg braked towing capacity, so your boat, caravan or float is well looked after.

More Clearance, More Capability

The Tremor isn’t just about power. It gets Bilstein dampers, new springs, and General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tyres—all adding up to an extra 26mm of ground clearance compared to the standard Everest.

That height boost gives better approach/departure angles and a commanding stance. We tackled a short off-road loop and the Tremor just got on with the job—planted, predictable, and impressively comfy considering its rugged setup.

Design Tweaks With Purpose

There’s no chrome bling or shouty decals here. Instead, you get a honeycomb grille, LED aux lamps, steel bash plate, Tremor badging, and chunky side steps. The only colour is Command Grey, which suits its low-key tough guy image.

It’s very “tactical chic”—and yes, we’re here for it.

Interior: Practical Meets Plush

Inside, you’ll find Tremor-branded leather-accented seats, ebony trims, and all-weather floor mats. It’s still a seven-seater, but you’ll probably fold the third row flat for gear, dogs, or a cheeky esky.

SYNC 4 infotainment runs on a big centre screen, paired with Ford’s full suite of safety tech. There are USB ports aplenty, a clear digital cluster, and just enough soft-touch trim to make it feel premium without going full Platinum.

How Much?

The list price is $76,590, but expect to pay around $84,901 drive-away, depending on where you live. You can option it up with a handful of factory-fitted packs:

  • Rough Terrain Pack – $3,500 (ARB gear)
  • Towing Pack – $1,900
  • Touring Pack – $2,500
  • Premium Seat Pack – $1,100
  • Premium Paint – $700

It’s not exactly a bargain, but unlike some rivals, the Tremor delivers real gear—not just marketing sparkle.

What the Boys Said

You know we don’t roll solo, so of course The Boys came along for the ride:

  • Charlie: “Finally, an Everest with proper hardware. Crawl Mode actually works, and the V6 pulls like a tradie at Mardi Gras.”
  • Raffy: “I’d take this over any SUV pretending to be off-road. It’s comfy, capable, and doesn’t scream midlife crisis.”
  • Travis: “Loved the ride height and the look. But where’s my hybrid? Come on, Ford—it’s 2025.”
  • Luke: “Bilsteins and AT3s? It’s like they built this for me. Would tow my Jet Ski and still get me into town for a Grindr date.”
  • Casper: “Honestly, I expected it to be a gimmick. It’s not. Quiet cabin, plush seats, and it actually climbs. Daddy’s impressed.”
  • Alan: “The Tremor feels like what Everest should’ve been from the start. You could cross a creek in this—and still rock up to a nice winery.”

Final Thoughts (For Now…)

The Everest Tremor doesn’t just talk the talk—it crawls the crawl. With real off-road gear, a gutsy V6, Crawl Mode, and 26mm more height, it’s ready to take on everything from gnarly trails to carparks at Westfield.

We’re into it, and we’ll be back very soon with a full review and video—don’t go far.
