2026 Suzuki Jimny 3-Door Is Baby Baby – with BIG Upgrades

Suzuki Australia has finally confirmed what every Jimny tragic has been manifesting since the 2025 production pause: the pint-sized, big-hearted 3-door Jimny is back in early 2026, now with more tech, more safety, and—tragically for nostalgics—one less CD player.

Both the Jimny Lite and Jimny variants score a tidy list of upgrades without sacrificing that boxy, retro charm that makes grown men squeal at traffic lights. The Lite now gets a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the standard Jimny ups the ante with a 9-inch unit. Suzuki’s also added front and rear parking sensors, DSBS II, lane departure prevention, and adaptive cruise control—finally bringing the Jimny into the modern era without ruining the fun.

Suzuki admits the ADR-driven production pause became a chance to give the little icon a glow-up. No CD player means the Lite is no longer Australia’s last new car stuck in 2004, but we’ll cope.

Suzuki Australia’s Michael Pachota said they’re thrilled to bring the refreshed 4×4 back, noting how Jimny owners are famously passionate. He’s not wrong—Jimny Law, the unofficial tradition where you must park next to another Jimny, remains alive and fabulously well. It’s the gay handshake of the off-road world.

And buyers still can’t get enough. According to 2025 AIR data, the Jimny leads the SUV segment in retained value, proving that its cult status is more than just vibes.

Arriving February 2026, pricing starts at $31,990 for the Jimny Lite, $33,990 for the manual Jimny, and $36,490 for the auto. Small car, big personality, still a show-off.
