Fiat Chrysler Group (FCG) has today confirmed another strong sales month with 1,681 sales for April, a 13 per cent increase on its April 2012 result of 1,488 units.
Year to date, sales for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands stand at 8,044 units – up from 6,055 units in 2012, marking an increase of 32.8 per cent.
All models posted year-on-year sales gains for the month but the standout performer once again was the Jeep Grand Cherokee with 635 units sold for the month (2,176 YTD).
According to Fiat Chrysler Group CEO and President, Veronica Johns, this exceptional achievement marks an exciting time for the Group’s American brands.
“Despite short term stock constraints, the continued sales success is a result of sharp pricing and the fantastic commitment and support we enjoy from our dealership network,” said Johns.
Sales in the coming months are expected to be bolstered by the launch of the Chrysler 300 Core, Wrangler Rubicon 40th Anniversary model as well as the highly anticipated Jeep Grand Cherokee range, which gains an 8-speed automatic transmission.
