Shadow is the collective noun for a group of Jaguars, and they look sensational in any colour, any age and in any place.
Among the many displays, Jaguar enthusiasts were thrilled to see stunning examples from the Jaguar Daimler Trust. The trust bough some tasty treats such as the very E-Type that was driven though the night to show at its reveal to the world. This launch took place at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, after test driver, Norman Lewis drove “77RW” from Coventry to Geneva, a big ask.

A TWR XJS wooed an adoring crowd with its gorgeous sounding V12, while the very XK120 that drove an average of 100MPH in Montlhéry, near Paris, proved it was still very track-worthy.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust showcased a pair of commissioned artworks too. The 3D pieces use real E type parts to create a celebration of the famous “77RW” from the E Type Geneva launch.
There were other celebrations too. Displays included the 60th anniversary of the E Type and MK 10, the 35th anniversary of the XJ40, 25th anniversary of the XK8 and 20 years of X-tytpe. It is 70 years since the C-Type’s first win at Lemans, driven by Peter Walker and Peter Whitehead. Lemans cars were proudly displayed in the Aircraft Hangar, while an on-track show was given by the a C-type and D-Type. The D-Type was one of 6 from 1956 in British Racing Green, and was a Works Car used in competition, and later driven by Ecurie Ecosse, the motor racing team from Scotland.
Winners of the Concours d’Elégance for E-types and a Pride of Ownership competition for all other anniversary Jaguars were: XK8 of Max Thompson in 3rd, XKR owned by Stephen Berry in 2nd, and E-type owned by Phil Kenworthy took 1st place.
