MINI’s all-new Cooper C and S petrol models, and two electric versions, Cooper E and SE, arrive in in the 3rd quarter of 2024.
Starting in 1959, Mini proved to be popular with rock stars, royals, and the bloke next door, and just ab out every gay man on the planet. Notable owners included Paul McCartney, Steve McQueen and Enzo Ferrari. Lord Snowdon, Princess Margaret’s husband, was a friend of Mini designer – Alec Issigonis. The couple was among the first to own a Mini, cementing the tiny people’s car as an instant classic. Some say fashion designer Mary Quant was inspired by a Mini to invent her famous mini skirt.
“The MINI Cooper boasts a remarkable pedigree and remains the core of our brand after more than six decades,” said Matt Schmidt, General Manager of MINI Australia and New Zealand.
“With its minimalistic yet sustainable design, enhanced digitalisation capability and signature MINI handling, the new MINI Cooper will continue to stand out from the crowd.
“Everyone who has encountered a MINI has a story to tell. And we have no doubt that the new MINI Cooper will bring more of those special moments for the next generation,” Mr Schmidt added.
