In addition, Audi Australia will offer further support to Australians who may be struggling with mental health during such a difficult year, by contributing $10 for every raffle ticket sold, directly to Lifeline, a free 24/7 crisis support counselling service. Audi Australia’s donation – up to $100,000 if all tickets are sold – will ensure that Lifeline is able to increase its capacity to meet greater demand.
“The effects of the bushfire disaster and the Coronavirus pandemic have made 2020 a very difficult year for many Australians,” said Paul Sansom, Chairman of the Audi Foundation and Managing Director of Audi Australia.
“However, that only means that our existing charity partners need the support of the Audi Foundation more than ever – especially when the nation’s attention has deservedly been fixed on other areas of immediate concern.
“Audi Australia is privileged to be in a position to help, and with our donation to Lifeline, we hope to provide support to Australians who may be in their most desperate time of need.
“We also thank those who take part in our Audi Q8 raffle, with all funds raised going toward continuing the good work of our existing charity partners,” said Sansom.
Carrie Leeson, CEO of Lifeline Canberra, was thankful for Audi’s long-time support of Lifeline’s work.
“From prevention through to crisis support, Audi’s continual investment in our programs has measurably improved the lives of many Australians,” said Leeson.
“Through COVID-19 and beyond, Audi’s donation will again target a critical area of need in the Australian community with 24-hour crisis support offered via tele services. This national service caters for every Australian, any age, any conceivable human crisis at any time of the day or night.
“We are incredibly grateful to Audi for its repeated support and genuine commitment to driving meaningful change in Australian communities.”
The Charity Fundraising Raffle will open for entry on Wednesday, 19th of August 2020 and closes Wednesday, 11th of November 2020. Tickets are priced at $50, available to purchase online with an opportunity to go in the draw to win a brand-new Audi Q8.
