Feisty Toyota GR Yaris GTS Aero Package with Track-Born Upgrades

Toyota has given its feisty GR Yaris a fresh dose of track-bred drama with the new GTS Aero Performance Package, now on sale across Australia. It’s pricier – starting at $64,990 for the manual and $67,490 for the auto – but every extra dollar goes toward kit developed straight from Toyota’s motorsport obsession.

Toyota Australia’s Sean Hanley says the new variant is all about feeding racing know-how back into road cars, and it shows. A new bonnet cooling duct and grille pull heat from the 1.6-litre turbo triple, a setup borrowed from Japan’s rally stages. Super Taikyu driver Kazuya Oshima even helped shape the new lip spoiler, designed to keep the nose planted when you’re really giving it the beans.

Fresh fender ducts improve steering feel under hard braking, a reworked underbody cover smooths airflow, and the rear bumper gains extra ducting for stability at speed. But the real jaw-dropper is the manually adjustable rear wing – huge, unapologetic, and perfect for anyone who likes their hot hatch with a bit of theatrical flair. The Boys would absolutely lose their minds over it.

Under the skin it’s classic GR Yaris: 221kW, 400Nm, AWD with selectable modes, and your choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed auto. The GTS foundation remains, including Torsen diffs, forged 18s and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber. Paint options include Glacier White, Frosted White, Tarmac Black, Feverish Red and Liquid Mercury – everything from subtle to “hello sailor”.
