Ford’s Ranger Raptor Desert Pack Goes Full Trophy-Truck Drama

Ford Australia has gone full Mad Max with the new Ranger Raptor Desert Pack — a limited-edition bundle designed to turn its already buffed-up ute into an ARB-armoured, Finke-ready desert diva.

Created with Aussie off-road royalty ARB, the Desert Pack takes its cues from Ford’s record-setting runs at the Finke Desert Race, where the Raptor has been smashing records three years in a row. It’s the toughest, most glamorous dirt-kicker this side of Alice Springs — think dust, noise, and just enough LED lighting to land planes.

Only 500 Desert Packs will be built for MY26 Ranger Raptors, with dealer-fitted pricing at $5,990 RRP. The kit adds a chunky ARB Sports Bar, four roof-mounted ARB Nacho Quatro lamps, “Desert Pack” decals (which can be deleted if you’re feeling subtle), and Ford Performance all-weather mats — because who wants mud on Alcantara?

Marketing boss Ambrose Henderson said the Desert Pack “celebrates that racing heritage” while giving owners that extra dose of show-off grit. Fair enough — it’s pure theatre on wheels. The factory Power Roller Shutter won’t fit, but a Real Truck Power Roller Shutter can be added via Ford Accessories.

Production of the MY26 Ranger Raptor begins in October 2025, with the Desert Pack available to order now through Ford dealers. Once those 500 are gone, the exclusive ARB bar and lights will trickle into Ford’s accessory catalogue.

It’s bold, brash, and unashamedly Aussie — exactly how we like our trucks and our gym bunnies.
