Goodwood Festival of Speed: Now Pre-Covid Mode with Caution

Goodwood Festival of Speed Reverts to Pre-Covid Conditions, With Caution

Visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed will find changed conditions. In a statement released on Monday, a Festival of Speed spokesman said:

“All of us at Goodwood are thrilled to hear the news that we’ve made it to the final step of the roadmap out of lockdown and ‘Freedom Day!’ We are very much looking forward to being able to welcome all our members, visitors and guests to the estate over the coming months without restrictions.

However, the safety of our guests and staff remains important to us and we will continue to follow some of the recommended guidance. All our front of house staff will continue to wear face masks indoors, we encourage guests to check-in via the NHS Track & Trace app, hand sanitiser will continue to be available across the estate and we ask visitors not to come to the estate if you’re feeling unwell.

We were delighted to be able to hold an action-packed Festival of Speed earlier this month and are very much looking forward to holding the Goodwood Revival and Members’ Meeting later this year.

At Goodwood Racecourse, the announcement of the easing of all restrictions means we can look forward to welcoming racegoers back to our fixtures this summer, including the Qatar Goodwood Festival from Tuesday 27 – Saturday 31 July, our August Bank Holiday meeting and fixtures in September and October – all of which can now take place at full capacity as planned.”

The UK has all but remove covid safety protocols, opting for a herd immunity strategy instead. With the NHS at breaking point, this dangerous move has seen Covid cases soar.

At GayCarBoys, we urge everyone to think about those around them, and to keep masks on when out and about. Keep you hands sanitised, and please, please stay safe and well.
