Jaecoo Expands J5 EV Offer Following High Australian Demand

Jaecoo has confirmed an extension of its special launch pricing for the J5 EV. Another 1000 customers can now access the $36,990 driveaway deal. This announcement follows a massive response during a recent national livestream event. Chief Commercial Officer Roy Munoz shared that the brand felt overwhelmed by the positive feedback from both dealers and the public.

The J5 serves as the entry point for the local range. It offers a practical 402km driving range for urban and suburban commuting. Rapid charging capabilities allow the battery to top up from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes. This efficiency ensures the SUV remains a competitive choice for those transitioning to electric power.

Interior customisation has also improved. A new black interior option is available for the first 2000 customers. The cabin remains focused on durability and comfort. It features pet-friendly synthetic leather crafted from a silicone-based material. This specific fabric is antibacterial and designed to resist heavy wear from daily use.

Sitting below the midsize J7 and the larger J8, the J5 provides a compact yet capable footprint. While the EV leads the charge, the J5 range will broaden later this year. Petrol and hybrid variants are expected to arrive to give buyers more powertrain choices.

The extension of the free premium paint offer adds further value to the initial purchase price. Munoz stated that the company was more than happy to open the order books further. This move allows more Australians to get behind the wheel of their latest new energy vehicle. The J5 EV is currently available for test drives at all Omoda Jaecoo dealerships across the country.
