Jeep announces major sponsorship of the Adelaide Strikers for T20 Big Bash Season

Jeep today announced it would be the major sponsor of the Adelaide Strikers for the upcoming T20 Big Bash cricket competition. Australia’s most iconic SUV brand fittingly announced the sponsorship at a gala function at the equally iconic Adelaide Oval.

Jeep – manufacturers of Australia’s best-selling SUV range, including the multi-award-winning Grand Cherokee – said the major sponsorship would boost the brand’s profile across the important South Australian market, as well as provide major media coverage throughout the season.

The Big Bash competition is fast emerging as Australia’s favourite summer sport, with a national TV audience of just under 10 million last year, at an average of over 900,000 per game. Equally important, the T20 competition, like Jeep’s range of vehicles, is incredibly popular with families.

Adelaide Strikers General Manager Bronwyn Klei said she was delighted to add Jeep as a partner for Big Bash League.

“Jeep is a vibrant, family-focused and innovative brand and we feel they are a great match for the Adelaide Strikers and our fans,” said Klei.

“We feel like Jeep’s motto of ‘don’t hold back’ really aligns with the Adelaide Strikers and we are excited to have them on board.”

Luke Skrzelinski, Senior Manager Sponsorship for Fiat Chrysler said: “Jeep is proud to sponsor the Adelaide Strikers for the 2014/2015 KFC T20 Big Bash season. In a short period of time, the Adelaide Strikers have captured the imagination of the South Australian sporting public and in particular, families in and around Adelaide.”

“The Strikers provide our Dealer Network with a great opportunity to communicate with this audience and build on the goodwill the Jeep brand has already established in South Australia.”

Adelaide Strikers fans will have an opportunity to secure their own Jeep Grand Cherokee (value $35,000) in BBL|04. Two people from each of the first three games holding up their four and six cards during the innings break will be selected to go into the running, along with two online fans. The eight finalists will be invited to the Adelaide Strikers final match on December 12 against the Sydney Thunder to secure the vehicle.
