Mecum Vintage Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction 2026

The world of motorcycle collecting prepares for its most significant annual gathering as the Mecum Las Vegas motorcycle auction returns to the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa this Jan. 27-31. Now celebrating its 35th anniversary, the event has grown from a specialized meeting of enthusiasts into a global phenomenon. Following a record-breaking 2025, the 2026 schedule has been expanded to five full days to accommodate a massive influx of consignments and international interest.

This year’s auction features approximately 2,000 motorcycles, easily maintaining its status as the world’s largest and most diverse offering of two-wheeled machines. For the first time in Mecum history, the reach of the auction expands further through a new partnership with Roku. Fans can now watch live commentary for free on Friday and Saturday via Mecum TV, in addition to the traditional YouTube stream and the Live Block Cam on the Mecum website.

The 2026 lineup is defined by machines with immense historical gravity. Leading the charge is the 1968 Honda CB750 Prototype, an ultra-rare machine that served as the very first test and marketing unit sent to American Honda. This motorcycle represents the birth of the superbike era and remains one of the most significant Japanese motorcycles ever to cross an auction block.

American motorcycling history is equally well represented. A 1992 Harley-Davidson FXRT takes center stage, boasting a documented provenance as the former personal ride of Sonny Barger. This factory sport-touring model is joined by a 1959 Harley-Davidson FL Duo-Glide, a Panhead-powered icon that gained fame in the cinematic cult classic The Loveless. These bikes represent the intersection of mechanical engineering and American pop culture.

European excellence remains a cornerstone of the Las Vegas event. Collectors will find a 1974 Ducati 750SS Green Frame, a four-owner, low-mile machine that has undergone a concours-level restoration. Also featured is a pair of 1924 BMW R32s, marking the beginning of the legendary German manufacturer’s century-long journey. For fans of speed, the 1982 Kawasaki KR500 replica offers a rare glimpse into the world of elite racing history.

The sheer volume of the auction is bolstered by more than 30 private collections. The Richard Wolcott McEnally Collection includes over 150 high-quality motorcycles, with a heavy emphasis on mid-century British beauties from BSA, Triumph, and Norton. Fans of American iron will gravitate toward The Roadhouse Collection, featuring no-reserve Harley-Davidsons ranging from 1930s Knuckleheads to modern Electra Glides. Additionally, The Estenson Vintage Collection highlights off-road dominance with machines like the 1982 Harley-Davidson Woods Rotax Flat Tracker raced by legends like Jay Springsteen and Scott Parker.

Whether attending in person at South Point or bidding online, enthusiasts can find daily updates and detailed photographs at Mecum.com. This 35th-anniversary event stands as a testament to the enduring legacy and growing passion of the motorcycle collector community.
