The New Zealand Weekend Herald has awarded the Mercedes-Benz C-Class the Executive Car of the Year in their annual Driven Car of the Year awards. This comes just three weeks after the Drive Car of the Year Overall Award winner was awarded to the frugal C 250 CDI.

Judged by a team of five motoring experts from the New Zealand Herald, the CClass was praised for its “superb engineering and outstanding refinement.” The judges highlighted that “more than 2000 changes have ensured the model remains one of the finest large cars around. The C-Class covers every base from elegance to excitement.”

Mercedes-Benz New Zealand General Manager, Ben Giffin said “It is no secret that the C-Class is a great car and we are very pleased it is receiving the recognition it deserves.”

Driven Car of the Year judge, David Linklater explained “As a compact-premium package the C 250 CDI is pretty close to perfect.”
