MINI Paul Smith Edition Adds 3 Petrol Cars From $55,490

Stripes on the roof and a puddle light that projects the word hello onto the driveway. That’s what an extra $2,000 buys on a MINI Paul Smith Edition. 161 of them found buyers in Australia since April.

MINI Australia is expanding the Paul Smith line-up from Q4 2026, when 3 petrol cars join the electric one. Cooper 3-Door and 5-Door hatches get the treatment, and so does the Cooper Convertible. That takes the MINI Paul Smith Edition to 4 body styles.

Nothing mechanical changes, so each car is a Favoured specification with $2,000 added for decoration, most of it stitched or badged on. Cooper S 3-Door money starts at $55,490 MRLP plus on-roads, and the Convertible tops the lot at $62,490.

What the MINI Paul Smith Edition Adds

Outside there are Nottingham Green highlights and Paul Smith lettering on the tailgate badge. MINI logos come in black and blue. Open the door after dark and the puddle light throws a Paul Smith hello onto the tarmac. Paint choice runs to Inspired White, Statement Grey, or Midnight Black II.

The cabin gets the longer list of edition-only kit.

  • Nightshade Blue Vescin vegan leather and knitted cloth seats
  • Recycled polyester on the dashboard and door cards
  • Sport steering wheel with blue contrast stitching and a Paul Smith strap design
  • Dark Steel interior accent, Paul Smith door sill inlays, and a floormat rivet carrying a Paul Smith rabbit
  • Blackband trim in Black and Blue Grain, a recycled maritime material

The Collaboration Goes Back to 1998

Sir Paul Smith and MINI aren’t new to each other. The original Paul Smith Mini appeared in 1998, and it was a Rover Mini, built before the modern car existed. Only 1800 were made and most went to Japan. The modern MINI didn’t follow for another 3 years, and we marked its 25th birthday earlier this year. We went through the current tie-up in our explainer on the Paul Smith collaboration.

The electric Cooper SE is $60,990. The cheapest way in is a petrol hatch, the dearest a drop-top. The 3 petrol cars are due in Q4 2026, with pricing enquiries pointed at local dealers.
