Hyundai creates an i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition Model. What’s included?
Of the 800 unit production of i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition that began in late April, 620 cars go to Hyundai Europe, and the rest are for Hyundai Australia.
Hyundai took the current i30 N, and used feedback from both media and N-thusiastsamaong other specifics, there are 2 colours, Phantom Black Pearl and Serenity White Pearl.
i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition comes with a manual or N DCT. The latter is Hyundai’s in-house developed eight-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission.
i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition has a 206kW ‘flat power’ tuned engine, giving high responsiveness and trackday improved acceleration. There is more torque and power at lower RPM for better daily driving. Maximum torque of 392Nm is between 2,100 and 4,700 RPM, with maximum power at 6,000 RPM.
In N DCT form, there are three N performance functions: N Power Shift, N Grin Shift, and N Track Sense Shift. N Grin Shift (NGS) unleashes maximum power for 20 seconds. Hyundai says this brings a grin to the driver’s face. Cheesy? Perhaps, but it is fun none the less.
