LE MANS, France (20 June 2013) – Nissan is set enlist the help of sports car racing fans to unveil its new car which will ‘electrify’ the Le Mans 24 Hour in 2014.

The new car will be unveiled this Friday, June 21 at 10:30am (6:30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time) in the Le Mans Village. With fans getting the chance to enter the innovative Nissan PlayStation GT Academy competition on site at Le Mans next week, one lucky virtual racer will get the unique opportunity to press the button that unveils the car for the first time.

Nissan will stage simultaneous launches – one for the fans in the village and another for the media in the Paddock where they will hear new details about the innovative new car from key team members.

The new Nissan project was announced in Japan in February this year by Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn at the opening of the new Nismo headquarters. Special guests on site included Automobile Club de l’Ouest Sporting Director, Vincent Beaumesnil.

As part of the Le Mans launch preparations, Nismo.TV has unveiled a new teaser video (Link to video on Nismo.TV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn9ZZ-iT6wc). This Friday’s launch will also be streamed live on Nismo.TV as part of Nissan’s partnership with YouTube.
