Nissan’s 3rd generation Qashqai is due in 2022, and looks very much like then one it replaces. Nissan have wisely decided not to mess with the formula one of its most popular cars, behind Navara and X-Trail.

Qashqai comes from the pens of the Nissan’s European designers based in London. To continue the Best of British theme, Qashqai will be built in the Sunderland factory.

Qashqai has grown by 19mm in wheelbase, 31mm in length, 30mm in height, and 29mm in width. The V-Motion grille is flanked by new LED headlights, and the rear end has 3-D.

There are 8 colours and a further 5 tow-tone combinations to make 13 choices to give buyers a chance to personalise their cars. For those who fancy a black roof, it goes over a body of vory Magnetic Blue, Fuji Sunset Red and Ceramic Grey. If you’d prefer a eramic Grey roof, that goes with a Pearl Black paint job.

Nissan has kept the panoramic glass roof, which buyers loved on on previous-generation models. It gives the cabin a light and airy feeling.

Adam Paterson, Managing Director, Nissan Australia, said: “With the launch of the first-generation Nissan Qashqai in 2006, Nissan pioneered the now incredibly popular C-SUV segment globally.  Nissan Australia introduced the first-generation Qashqai, badged Dualis, in 2007 and the vehicle quickly became a best-seller in the Nissan range.

“Since that time, the Nissan Qashqai has become the second best-selling small SUV in Australia.  Customers have loved the practicality offered by a small SUV coupled with the striking good looks and convenience features.

The all-new Nissan Qashqai will be launched in Australia in early 2022.
