Volvo Drivers Most Satisfied Amongst European Car Brand Owners in Australia
– Volvo Ties for Top Position in March Roy Morgan Automotive Currency Report –
Volvo Car Australia added another major accolade to its growing list of recognitions by tying for the top spot in the March Roy Morgan Automotive Currency report that ranks the brand against other European counterparts.
For the 12 months to March 2011, 94% of Volvo drivers said they were satisfied* with their current vehicle. This is 4% points above the European average and moves them from equal fourth place five years ago to the top of the group. The survey quizzed more than 40,000 drivers who use their cars regularly on their vehicle satisfaction.
The report takes into consideration that off the 14.9 million drivers on Australian roads, approximately one million drive European cars (an increase of 45% over the last five years).

This recognition and positive review by Volvo customers further strengthens Volvo Car Australia’s position in the market. The company recently announced a 14% increase in sales year to date in 2011 over 2010, with the XC60 and XC90 continuing to sell very well and the recently launched S60 and V60 also gaining a lot of traction.
“With only three European brands making gains over the last 5 years; this is an excellent result for Volvo who has also decreased their total driver dissatisfaction figure over the same timeframe. With vehicle satisfaction being one of the key drivers of brand loyalty, this is a very important measure for manufacturers to be aware of,” said Norman Morris, Industry Communications Director, Roy Morgan Research.
“The result of the Roy Morgan report is very rewarding, both for Volvo Car Australia and our dealers,” said Matt Braid, Managing Director, Volvo Car Australia. “It is evidence of our commitment to delivering first-class purchase and ownership experience and reflects the immense efforts we put into producing stellar products that exceed customer expectations”.
