Redtiger F77 Dashcam Review: 4K Twin Cam Glory

I didn’t think I’d ever fall for a dashcam, but the Redtiger F77 has the sort of quiet competence that sneaks up on you. It’s the loyal, unblinking co-pilot you didn’t know you needed—no theatrics, no tantrums, just a front and back electronic eye that watches everything like it’s taking notes for a court case.

Setup: Stick, Snap, Sorted

Forget suction cups flinging themselves off in summer heat. The electrostatic plastic mount and 3M pad cling to the windscreen like a barnacle with commitment issues. Peel, press, and you’re done—no drooping, no rattles, no fiddly levers that make you feel like you’re arming a nuclear device.

Picture This

Both cameras record in crisp 4K, capturing number plates, signs, wildlife, and the occasional bogan with forensic sharpness. Night footage is clean too—no blown-out headlights, no murky blobs masquerading as cars (our night footage was recorded over – sorry!). Honestly, the footage is good enough to start a road-trip vlog without shame.

See our VIDEO REVIEW as we capture a minor accident on the Sydney Harbour Bridge – not significant until the perp makes a dash down the wrong side of the road without leaving details.

Features That Actually Work

  • Wi-Fi transfer: Quick—when it works.
  • GPS logging: Accurate enough to prove innocence or confirm guilt.
  • Parking mode: Captures everything from bumps to possums doing gymnastics without flattening the 12-volt.
  • Hardwire kit included: No cheap eBay drama—it’s all in the box.
  • Voice Control: Full command list provided.

Price and Memory Options

The 124GB model is $439 AUD on Amazon (or $419 direct), and the 256GB version is $475.99 AUD. Given the build quality, superb image clarity, and the included hardwire kit, the pricing feels more than fair—especially for those who hoard footage like it’s evidence for a Netflix true-crime special.

The Good

  • Easy install with long cables and included parking kit
  • Rock-solid once fitted
  • Spare mounts and plastic sheets
  • Superb image quality
  • Menus are easy once explored properly
  • SD port
  • G-sensor and manual emergency recording
  • Decent audio
  • Excellent build and included accessories

Not So Much

  • Can’t record directly to SD—relies solely on internal memory
  • If memory fails, whole unit must be replaced
  • File transfer can be fiddly; Wi-Fi temperamental
  • Wi-Fi can’t be used with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto
  • No speed displayed on-screen
  • Emergency clips only store the current recording unless manually protected (Top Tip – only saves current clip, manually save clips either side for more detail)
  • Easy to mount in the wrong spot—dry fit first

Verdict: Buy It, Fit It, Forget It

The Redtiger F77 doesn’t do drama. It just works—quietly, clearly, and without demanding your constant attention. I’ve tested dashcams twice the price that couldn’t focus on a barn door. If you want a unit that behaves like an adult and never needs babysitting, this is your Cyclops. Just don’t be shocked if you start saying goodbye to it when you park.
