If you haven’t heard of Singer before, you’re missing out on something a bit special. The Californian company is flamboyant in a world of beige. They are the drag queen with the biggest beehive, and just as some acts are hard to follow, Porsche couldn’t get any better, unless it is a classic Porker given the Singer swag.

Singer takes knackered old Porsches to a high they never had, even when new. Think of Singer as a restoration service extraordinaire that works with owners to give them something they didn’t know they wanted.

Each of the Restorations adds a unique touch to their Turbo Study restoration repertoire. As with each project, this Porsche 911 is a collaboration. The owner wanted more grunt, so was reimagined by Singer with a focus on sports performance, including a power increase to 510 HP. To learn more, view Turbo Study

From the front, you see “Turbo Racing White” carbon fibre bodywork. The bonnet has a centre-mounted fuel filler, and there is a lowered ride height with visual carbon fibre elements for front splitter and rear shark fin air intake.

The changes are even more obvious from the side. The louvred bumpers and rear shark fin air intake and whale tail rear spoiler have a menacing look to them.

Most obvious on the rear is the bumperette delete that finishes a look that is feels factory-fresh, as if this concept might have been done by Porsche for a motor show back in the day.

Inside, the cabin gets the same spit and polish. The same “sports focus” that guided the exterior elements continue in the form of: Houndstooth “Grun” cloth, carbon fiber accents, lightweight door trims, and painted surfaces for sills and transmission tunnel, lightweight carbon fiber seats, six-speed manual transmission, inductive phone charging, and finally, air-conditioning.

Less is more. There is a lack of clutter in the modern interpretation. The cutting edge seats and the floating console look like they were always meant to be there.

The project is finished off with a rear cross-brace adding even more rigidity. Even standing still, the Singer Porsche 911 looks fast. The owner knows the one-off offers an experience no one else can have.
