Brilliant motorway cruiser with acres of space inside. Opt for an iV and the personal tax savings you’ll make are serious. The Superb really is a car for all seasons and a worthy winner of our Large Car of the Year.”

Not to be outdone by its larger sibling, the Octavia iV was crowned Plug-in Car of the Year 2021. The Octavia iV combines power and sustainability thanks to its 1.4-litre petrol engine and 85 kW motor, which generates 204PS and 350Nm of torque. The plug-in hybrid model is an attractive proposition for business customers thanks to the fleet-focussed SE Technology trim that delivers more value for money.

Commenting on the award, Andrew Walker said: “Like the larger Superb iV, the Octavia iV offers company car drivers major tax benefits, whilst still being an incredibly versatile car. Whether you choose saloon or estate, you’ll get a top quality interior, with all the latest safety and tech plus an electric range of up to 43 miles. Even when you engage the petrol engine, you can look forward to 50mpg. Brilliant!”
