Mazda is topping up the CX-5 with a few extra gadgets, increased service intervals and some other tasty goodies for the 2023 model. It might seem as if it was launched yesterday, but CX-5 is still feels fairly fresh.
Cabin:
The cabin’s premium feel is getting the latest generation 10.25-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system, with improved operation, faster processing, better resolution and enhanced sound quality. Except for the base model Maxx, Mazda’s seventh-generation navigation system is included.
Other cabin upgrades include:
- 2 new USB-C ports
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (Maxx Sport models and above)
- remote window function from key fob
Outside
CX-60’s Rhodium White metallic is added to the nine colour-choice line-up.

Servicing
2.0-litre, 2.5-litre and 2.5-litre turbo petrol engines sees an interval increase to 12 months or 15,000km.
Mazda Australia Managing Director, Vinesh Bhindi, said the update follows Mazda’s strategy to match and evolve with the changing needs of customers.
“Mazda’s continued focus on improving and evolving product throughout its lifecycle has helped Mazda CX-5 remain a firm favourite SUV in Australia, resonating with customers for its timeless style, functionality and versatility.
“The emphasis of this update is to boost customer connectivity with the car, and follows a significant redesign earlier in 2022, which refreshed and sharpened the looks of the Mazda CX-5.”
