The 2025 Nissan Patrol has wafted into Australian showrooms with a cabin glow-up that’s more penthouse suite than bush-bashing brute. Long loved by outback adventurers and inner-city boat-towers alike, the Patrol has kept its signature 5.6L V8 thunder under the bonnet, but now pairs it with a much more luxurious, tech-rich cabin that wouldn’t be out of place at a high-end day spa – albeit one with diff locks and a low-range transfer case.
Inside, it’s all about choice and charm. Buyers can now opt for two flavours of interior indulgence: sleek black leather-accented trim or a warm chestnut number that throws in quilted leather, woodgrain flourishes, and just the right amount of chest-beating masculinity to balance out the fragrance of eucalyptus diffusers. Naturally, the obligatory giant 12.3-inch touchscreen takes centre stage, handling everything from wireless Apple CarPlay to built-in sat-nav. There’s also a new 7-inch TFT driver display – your digital co-pilot for both weekday school runs and weekend dune domination, thanks to a new Off-Road Monitor that shows you exactly what your wheels are up to in the wild.

The Ti-L flagship goes full “glamping meets gentleman’s club” with a 13-speaker BOSE® stereo, cool box (champagne, darling?), and a high-def digital rear-view mirror that’ll make reversing your caravan less of a nightmare and more of a Netflix-worthy manoeuvre.
Of course, it still roars with that glorious 298kW/560Nm V8, driven through a 7-speed auto with Intelligent 4WD. It’s all the grunt you need to tow a float, climb a cliff, or do donuts in the dunes – responsibly, of course. The Patrol Warrior by Premcar also cops the same cabin luxe, plus new black side steps to match its all-black, brooding swagger.
Wrapped in colours like Desert Red Metallic and Obsidian Black, the 2025 Patrol is as much a statement as it is a SUV – perfect for hauling the family to the mountains or just pulling up fabulously to a pride parade.
Oh, and did we mention the 10-year, 300,000km warranty if you service it through Nissan? That’s more commitment than most exes gave us.
The Boys will no doubt have a field day with this one – Max will want to tow the boat, Travis will take it up a fire trail with a six-pack in the cooler, and Nico will just swoon over the quilted leather. And yes, we’ll all fight over the BOSE system playlist.
Final word? The 2025 Patrol might be an old-school V8 at heart, but now she’s dressed to impress. It’s still tough, still thirsty, and still fabulous. Just how we like our SUVs.
